The capital of the Empire of The Great Mongolia was Karakorum. Later in 15th century, Erdenezuu Monastery was founded on the base of Karakorum. Now it is a partially functioning monastery and most of the temples became museums. Your tour begins with Khogno Khan Natural Reserve a home to many rare wild animals which also has a connection with Mongolia’s past historical events.
You’ll also visit Khustai National Park where extinct Przewalski wild horses were re-introduced and you’ll enjoy the beauty of the nature. You will enjoy the Buddhist statues, religious items kept in the Erdenezuu Monastery which once was a spiritual centre of All Mongols.
During the trip, fascinating sceneries of vast valleys continuing miles after miles, Khugnu Khan Mountain and the northernmost point of the Great Gobi Desert will add to your joy. Your last destination will be Khustain Nuruu National Park where one of Mongolia’s extinct creatures – wild horses or Perzewalski horses have been reintroduced by international aid efforts.
