This extended trip combines the scenic hills and mountains of Central Mongolia and its Buddhist cultural sights with the breathtaking open steppes of Southern Gobi. Massive sands and dunes, interesting natural formations are likely to attract the minds of those who want to see what Mongolia really has to offer and to experience adventures of a long distance trip.
Day 1
Upon your arrival to Ulaanbaatar (UB), capital of Mongolia, your guide meets you at the Buyant Ukhaa airport. We visit the Sukhbaatar Square, the central area of Ulaanbaatar city, where visitors usually stop over to take photographs. Then we visit the Zaisan Tolgoi Memorial. The tall landmark with Soviet styled statue on the top of a hill is the best view of the city and surrounding hills. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 10
Tsagaan Suvarga. In the next morning, we drive to Tsagaan Suvarga (140km), a place where an eroded landscape that was once beneath the sea. Rich in marine fossils and clam shells, some of the chalk mounds are up to 30m in height. We stay at a ger camp. After our lunch we drive to explore some rock paintings dating from 3000BC exist in the area. Overnight at the camp.
Day 11
Baga Gazariin Chuluu Stone. In the morning, we drive to Baga Gazaryn Chuluu (240km), a granite rock formation in the middle of the plains. Visit a cave and mineral water. Then we visit to the ruins of an ancient temple. We have a horse riding, rest in a ger camp and you are free at leisure. Overnight at the camp.
Day 12
Ulaanbaatar City. Today we head back to Ulaanbaatar (260km). , We shop at the Central Department Store having the wide collections of handicrafts, paintings, traditional costumes etc at reasonable prices. In the evening, we see Mongolian traditional folk performance. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 13
Ulaanbaatar City. Today is a city tour day. We visit the Gandantegchilen Khiid Monastery in the morning. It is the biggest functioning monastery in Mongolia with over 150 monks in residence. The monastery is one of Ulaanbaatar�s most impressive sights. You will enjoy the sight of the 25m high, 20 ton copper and gold statue of Buddha. Then we visit the Museum of Natural History where you find famous fossils of dinosaurs on the world. You will have a chance to see the complete dinosaur skeletons (one is 15m tall and four or five tons in weight). After it, we visit the Museum of National History where you find archeological and monumental findings for the great empire of Mongols once reined over the half of the world. Farewell dinner. Overnight at our hotel.

Day 2
Amarbayasgalant Monastery In early morning, we drive to see Amarbayasgalant Khiid Monastery (380km), the second and most important monastery in Mongolia with the most intact architectural complex in the country. Overnight at a ger camp (Amarbayasgalant Orgoo ger camp).
Day 3
Bulgan Province. Today, we head for Bulgan Province. On the way, we reach to Erdenet City (200km), the third largest city in the country founded by Russians. The existence of the city is copper mining holding 30% of the state budget. We continue driving to Bulgan Province. Before reaching to our ger camp near Bulgan Town (Anag, km), we have a short stop to see an ancient Turkic balbal known as �Zuun Turuunii Khun Chuluu�. We arrive to our camp, have horse riding and stay overnight.
Day 4
Ogii Nuur Lake. In the morning, we further drive to Ugii Nuur Lake (200km), a great place for birdlife. The lake is also famous for fishing. We settle down in a ger camp (Ugii Nuur). You are free at leisure with fishing and hiking etc. Overnight at the camp.
Day 5
Karakorum. Today, we head for Karakorum (100km). On the way, we stop for the ancient Turkic monument for Kultegin Khan (684-731). The monument was raised in AD 732 and is inscribed in Runic and Chinese srcript. Then we further drive to Karakorum (Kharkhorin), the site of the 13th-century capital of the Mongol Empire. Only a few traces remained from this once great city. Visit Erdenezuu Monastery, the country�s largest monastery, was built from ruins of Karakorum since 1586 under the order of Abtai Sain Khan, a distant relative of Chinggis Khaan. Visit sacred turtle stone near Erdenezuu Monastery. Have a horse riding and fine rest in a ger camp in stunning valley of Orkhon river (Ogoodei, Kharkhorin Orgoo, Anar). Overnight at a ger camp
Day 6
Ongiin Khiid Monastery Ruin. Today, we drive to Ongiin Khiid (320km) Monastery where there are a plenty of interesting ruins and a good resting place. Arrive to a ger camp (Tsagaan Ovoo, Ongi Tour camp), have a lunch and free at leisure. Overnight at the camp.
Day 7
Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs). In the morning, we drive to Bayanzag (approx. 220km), a place famous worldwide for the number of dinosaur bones and eggs found in the area. It is desert with rocks, red sand and sun. Explore the cliffs, enjoy the beauty of the landscape and have a picnic. Then we arrive to a ger camp and it is your free time to rest and hike. Overnight at the camp.
Day 8
Khongoriin Els Sand Dune. In the morning, we drive to a ger camp near Khongoryn Els Sand (190km). Transfer to a ger camp (Juulchin Gobi 2, Tuvshin, Khongor �Gobi Discovery) and have a lunch in a restaurant. Then we go to explore the area of Khongoryn Els Sand, the largest and spectacular sand dunes of Mongolia (up to 800 m high, 12km wide and about 100km long). They are in the Gobi Desert, known as Singing Dunes. Climb up to the tops and explore the area. Visit a camel breeding family and have camel riding. Drive back to the camp and overnight at the camp.
Day 9
Yolyn Am Vulture's Valley. In the morning, we drive to the east to Yolyn Am (Vulture's Valley, 190km), a place famous for its dramatic and very unusual scenery . it is a mountain valley in the middle of the Gobi Desert. This is an important place for conservation of birdlife. Arrive to a ger Camp /Gobi Discovery, Juulchin Hanbogd/. Visit Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park museum introducing to the flora and fauna of Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park. You have a fascinating hiking through the Yolyn Am Vulture Cliffs. After coming back to our camp it is your free resting time. Overnight at the camp.
