It takes you to Central Mongolia, where the southern Gobi desert and the northern mountains of forests converge. You visit the ancient Buddhist and spiritual center of Mongols, Erdenezuu temple and the remaining sights of ancient capital of the Empire of The Great Mongolia, Karakorum. While on the trip you spend a night at Elsen Tasarkhai Sand where you are able to observe a part of massive sand dunes of Mongolian Gobi desert. Yet still unforgettable scenes await you. It is the show of Chinggis Khaan’s mighty cavalry of 500 horsemen in Undur Dov and you are exited to see the scene. Also, you are inspired by the thousands of horsemen-spectators waiting for the horse racers coming to the finish line in Khui Doloon Khudag Valley. This is only a part of Mongolian national festival – Naadam. In Ulaanbaatar, you enjoy the various activities and shows at the stadium, Mongolian traditional wrestling, archery, and ankle bone competition. Join this tour to obtain a lifetime remembrance!
Day 1
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar.
Your guide meets you at the Chinggis Khaan Airport, Ulaanbaatar City. Lodge in a 3 star hotel. Visit the Sukhbaatar Square, the heart of the city where the Parliament House, Central Post Office, Opera & Ballet Theatre and Mongolian Stock Exchange Office are located. After having a lunch in a restaurant, we visit the Zaisan Tolgoi Memorial Hill having the best view of the city and surrounding hills. Then we visit the Bogd Khaan's Palace Museum which used to be a palace of the last Mongolian monarch. Overnight in the hotel.


Day 2
Khugnu Khan Natural Reserve.
In the morning, we drive to Khugnu Khan Natural Reserve (280km west of UB). Upon arrival, we lodge in a tourist ger camp. After lunch, we have a short drive to Elsen Tasarkhai Sand. Elsen Tasarkhai is a place where you are able to have a simultaneous glimpse into desert sand and grassland. This is one of the northernmost points of the Mongolian Gobi desert. We have a good hiking on the sand dunes. Then we drive and explore the area of Khugnu Khan Sacred Mountain, ruins of ancient monastery and temples (Erdene Khambyn Khiid). We have a horse riding on the hills. The rest of the time is free at your leisure. Overnight in the camp.


Day 3
Karakorum.
In the morning, we drive to Karakorum (80 km), the site of the 13th-century capital of the Mongol Empire. Only a few traces remained from this once great city. Visit Erdenezuu Monastery, the country’s largest monastery, was built from the ruins of Karakorum since 1586 under the order of Abtai Sain Khan, a distant relative of Chinggis Khaan. Visit sacred turtle stone near Erdenezuu Monastery. Then we visit a nomadic family nearby Karakorum and get acquainted with their lifestyle. Overnight in a tourist ger camp.


Day 4
Ulaanbaatar via Undur Dov.
In early morning, we drive to Undur Dov (380km). En route, we have a picnic lunch. In Undur Dov, we watch a show of Chinggis Khaan’s Mighty Cavalry of 500 horsemen. This fantastic show gives a glimpse into the ancient Mongolian warfare. The breathtaking scene of hundreds of cavalry horsemen emerging out of the grassland steppe probably makes you deeply fascinated. You are also enjoyed numerious types of folk performances as well as fashion show and other events. The we drive to UB and overnight in a hotel.


Day 5
Ulaanbaatar City - Naadam Festival
Today is the day of official opening ceremony of National Naadam Festival. In the morning, we drive to the central stadium in the city. At the stadium, we watch various types of sport and cultural events such as wrestling, archery and ankle bone competitions. After our lunch in a restaurant in the city center, we drive to see a horse racing competition out of the city in Khui Doloon Khudag Valley (40 km). You are fascinated by a long distance horse racing where you might be panicked by a scene of hundreds of galloping horsemen-spectators spread in the whole valley. After our good, long, busy day we spend a night in our hotel.
Day 6
Chinggis Khaan Airport.
You are transfered to the airport and depart.
